Affinity Services

Mood Pic Affinity Services is a standalone Charitable Company, owned by the Affinity Services Charitable Trust. We are a community based organisation and have provided mental health services in the Auckland region for over 33 years.

Affinity provides community based, recovery focused, mental health support services and strives to assist people attain and live rich and fulfilled lives.

We are authorised trainers in the Strengths Model and we work with people using the following recovery tools: Prof. Charles Rapp's Strengths Model; Prof. Mason Drurie's Te Whare Tapa Wha (Four Cornerstones) Model; and Mary Ellen Copeland's Wellness Recovery Action Planning (W.R.A.P.).

HOW TO ACCESS OUR SERVICES

If you live in the Auckland, Counties Manukau or Waitemata District Health Board districts and are over the age of 18; you can access a range of our free services, provided you meet the necessary criteria for referral:
Referrals can be made by a:

  • DHB Clinical Team / Community Mental Health Centre
  • Family Member
  • GP or Psychiatrist

OUR TRUSTEES

Robin Guy and Heather Beatson are the Trustees of Affinity Services Charitable Trust which owns the operating arm Affinity Services Charitable Company.

OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Henry Harrison Board Chair, Kay McCabe Deputy Board Chair, Ian Gordon, John Raeburn, Billie Harbidge, Marcelle Kiely and Michael Smyth are the Board of Directors of Affinity Services Charitable Company.

As a board we firmly believe that having solid mental health is crucial to be able to thrive in this world. Any one of us can experience poor mental health at times, and everyone can strengthen their existing mental health; we are all human beings in this life together. This knowledge is what drives our desire to provide services and support projects that focus on strengths, community acceptance and full participation in life.
