The Kaupapa Maori Service extends a warm welcome to all Tangata Whaiora, Whanau and significant others. Our Kaupapa is to be available to you in all areas and aspects of Tikanga Maori.
TE HUARAHI (Pathway)
Our Ratonga (service) delivery model incorporates Professor Mason Durie's model of Te Whare Tapa Wha (The Four Cornerstones) enhances holistic healing throughout the four cornerstones of health:
- Hinengaro (mental wellbeing)
- Tinana (physical wellbeing)
- Wairua (spiritual wellbeing)
- Whānau (family wellbeing)
Professor Charles Rapp's Strengths Model complements Te Whare Tapa Wha, interweaving the strengths of community, whanau and hapu.
RATONGA (Service)
- A whanau group that provides support for Maori.
- Opportunity to educate tangata whaiora, whanau and significant others, to better understand mental wellbeing through the recovery models of Strengths, W.R.A.P. and Te Whare Tapa Wha.
- Access to Kaumatua and Kuia to assist and provide support to all tangata whaiora, whanau and kaimahi.
- Access to a Maori Mental Health Support Worker.
- Access to Affinity's services.
- Peer Support Kaumatua home operating under Tikanga Maori.
- Support networks for dual diagnosis

Code of Practice
Kaupapa Māori Service participates according to the policies and procedures of Affinity Services and the Treaty of Waitangi to:
- Ensure Tangata Whaiora, Whānau and significant others are involved in all decision making during the recovery journey.
- Ensure privacy and confidentiality for all parties involved.
