ARE YOU KEEN TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE\'S LIFE?
Due to one team member returning to fulltime study and another going overseas, we have a vacancy coming up in our Crisis Respite Service for adults mid and end of March 2010. This service provides community based mental health intensive support. We use recovery principles to actively support people experiencing mental health crisis needing short respite.
We are looking for a Support Worker with experience in mental health and working with adults in crisis, in particular Maori, Pacific Island and Pakeha cultures.
It is essential that you can drive a manual car and hold a full clean drivers licence. You will need to be able to cook a variety of menus as well as maintain a clean environment. You will have a National Mental Health Certificate or higher relevant mental health qualification, plus work experience in Mental Health.
Good written and oral communication skills will allow you to work effectively and your ability to work independently as well as a team player is essential. You will have a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with family/whanau, the local community and clinical services.
You will have the ability and flexibility to work in a constantly changing environment. It is an opportunity to work with a new model of care that has been developed with Clinical Services.

Are you keen to make a difference in someone’s life?
We have a new role for an Occupational Therapist to work collaboratively with the Service Leader, Coordinators and Support Workers in our Residential Service across our sites in the Auckland and Counties Manukau districts. You will provide support to people working on their recovery goals and to return to living independently in their community. It includes individual caseload and group work.
Good written and oral communication skills will allow you to work effectively and your ability to work independently as well as a team player is essential. You will have a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with families, the local community, PHOs and clinical services. A full clean driver’s licence is essential for this role.
You will hold an Occupational Therapy degree and training/experience in mental health is an advantage. Professional OT Supervision and support will be provided to achieve your OT core competencies.

Due to two of our staff moving on we have a vacancy in one of our Central Auckland sites and in one of our South Auckland sites. Our residential service provides a supportive, safe and stable living environment to enable people to maximise their strengths whilst recovering from a mental illness. This helps people to build a more meaningful and satisfying life in their community.
You will provide strength focused support as people work towards their recovery goals and back into their community. This rewarding work offers a great opportunity to work one on one with people in a supportive team environment. An element of this role is to clean and cook in the house.
We are looking for a Support Worker with experience in mental health to support people of varying cultures,in particular Maori, Pacific Island and Pakeha in their recovery pathway to return to living in the community.
