Affinity Services provides community based, recovery focused, mental health support services in the Auckland region. Affinity strives to assist people attain and live rich and fulfilled lives.
The Residential Service operates its sites across Balmoral, New Windsor, Mt Albert, Grey Lynn and Manurewa in the Auckland region. This role will be working with people with intensive and complex needs, in particular Maori, Pacific Island and Pakeha cultures to reintegrate back into their community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate person who is innovative progressive and recovery orientated to join our team. You will coordinate in partnership with your colleagues and the service user, to support them to achieve their goals in terms of:
Housing
Employment
Education
Community
Family/Whanau
You will share the passion and desire to assist people to improve their quality of life and live a life of their choosing.
In your day to day role you will:
Seek sustainable and affordable housing
Assist people with maintaining a home and a budget
Liaise and develop relationships with resources and networks
You will demonstrate these skills and attributes:
Have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
Be passionate about achieving improved health outcomes
Have good computer skills
Actively reflect on your work practice to enhance peoples recovery
Use strategies to engage meaningfully and in partnership with a strengths focus
Have a compassionate, caring, non-judgemental and supportive attitude
If you have a registered Social Worker qualification and experience relevant to mental health or equivalent with transferrable skills, wed love to hear from you.
You will need to have NZ residency to apply for this position.
